and so it is, that my second summer of kayaking on the mighty slave river has come to a close. and the beautiful thing about paddling with pro kayakers, aside from having expert guides and paddlers willing to rescue you when your beginner skills are still in need of some refinement, is that they typically have a digital SLR camera on hand to take photos of all of their fancy tricks. a by-product of this fact, is that i actually have a couple photos from the summer, including a few lucky surfs i was able to catch during the last few days. don't worry mom, it was a completely safe and controlled environment :)
