four weeks later and all of the planning, preparations and anticipation of walking across rural spain have crested leaving me on the other side in southern portugal enjoying the mediterranean vibe of the coastline and nightlife. after four weeks of cheese and bread on the camino, i spent my first night in lisbon eating a huge meal of east indian cuisine. perhaps i should have tried the local fare, but when indian spices and tasty curries are being offered there's a weak spot in me that cannot resist.walking the winding streets, dodging street cars and taking in the vibe of this city has been good for reflecting on the journey i just completed. sitting on the rocky shore and sipping tiny espressos has given me a chance to think about the journey to come.
yet it will take much more than a strong jolt of caffeine and an evening gelato in the colorful town square to process this last month, so as i get home and start editing photos and writing stories of my adventures i'll be sure to share some of them here.
