Two nights and three days paddling straight out of Whittier and over into Blackstone Bay. Glacier after glacier with an increasing volume of ice chunks in the water as we got closer. Rafts of sleeping sea otters, curious seals and a massive jelly fish entertained us along the way. It rained, it rained some more, and as we set off on the final morning back to Whittier, the skies opened up and the sun waved a cheery (and most welcomed) hello. My new motto is: "if it's going to rain, you may as well be on the water". I don't know if I'll ever get enough of this new found love of paddling the sea.
