it's been beautiful here this past week. the roadbike has been dusted off, wheels re-inflated and the splash guard firmly mounted, for pure joy-filled daily rides to and from school. it truly has been spring with me wearing shorts, rolled up pants, and around campus, flip flops as i make my way between meetings and classes. this morning however, spring has been abruptly suppressed, as is the norm where calgary seasons and weather variability go. no flip flops or sunny walks on the agenda for today... which is probably a good thing as what i really should be doing is buckling down and checking more items off my constantly expanding list.
so today will be a day of fresh coffee in the bodum, a massive attack on my twenty page literature review regarding northern adaptations of arctic mammals, and if time permits, perhaps a hot yoga class later in the day to give my mind a brief reprieve.
it's starting to feel like my jam-packed summer of research may just feel like a vacation after how busy this semester has been. more details to come in the next few weeks on what the summer is shaping up to be. nothing less than epic i assure you.
